Anne Dee Goldin is a third generation furrier (Goldin Feldman was founded by her two grandfathers) who is intent on bringing a modern point of view to her company. Having already established herself through her thoroughly modern and signature mixes of the practical and luxurious, she has just launched her first accessories collection.
In addition to the disarmingly lightweight quality of the pieces (actually, 'weightless' is more like it), everything seemed to be designed with the idea of form and function and maximum practicality. The group that was on display in her showroom included a large selection of hats, fur collars, 'small' furs like boleros, vests, capelets, and shrugs, and sporty activewear such as the ski inspired hooded and fitted zip front parkas. ( By the way, she told me that small pieces are what's selling).
Best of all, Anne Dee has paid much attention to details (as they say: "God is in the details"). While many pieces are unlined, where there are linings, they are done in surprisingly bright solids or in whimsical and colorful prints. Many pieces reverse, and boast outer shells that are made of water resistant nylon.
Standouts included her 'to die for' and incredibly flattering pink powder puff coyote group (I especially loved the hat); the 3/4 sleeved red fox and stone marten collarless jacket with oversized buttons; the handsome 'Larchmont' duffle coat in tan canvas with leather trim; the pearlized silver, copper, or bronze metallic trenchcoats, bomber jackets, and matching 'crusher' hat; the silver fox collar lined in scarlet that can be worn at least three different ways; and her Chanel inspired wool boucle tweed fitted jacket and matching scarf trimmed with a 'fringe' of pale pink coyote (see photo above).
She is located at 150 West 30th street, 5th floor, New York, NY 10001, the telephone number is 212 239 0512, and the email address is: firstname.lastname@example.org
