Timba Loca Party & Benefit: Tuesday, April 29th, from 7pm until 11pm:

(Press Release) Timba Loca will be a vibrant, colorful Latin-themed party hosted by Lynda Lopez to celebrate life and good health, with a focus on Cuban music and dancing. The evening will include three floors of food, music and dancing. There will be fabulous, high-profile feature entertainment by Ballet Hispanico, Yerba Buena and Jose Conde y Ola Fresca, free dance lessons (salsa, merengue, mambo and tango) an auction, a raffle of exciting prizes, and VIP tables with decor by renowned designers. We expect 600 people to attend.

Proceeds raised from Timba Loca will allow the Center to research complementary, traditional and alternative remedies with rigor and integrity so that physicians have the evidence they need to incorporate them with conventional therapeutic options. Proceeds will also help the Center to expand its educational programs to make this more inclusive approach to healthcare available and understandable for both consumers and professionals.

Timba Loca will be held at Angel Orensanz, a beautiful New York landmark that evokes a dancehall in Old Havana. Angel Orensanz is located at 172 Norfolk Street, between Houston and Stanton Streets on the Lower East Side.
