Too Much Information?

Talk about too much information. Yesterday’s New York Post featured a column in Page Six, ‘Kimora’s computerized closet’, where we were all treated to an in depth description of some of Kimora Lee Simmons’ personal possessions and other ‘inside’ information- which had been recently reported in Harper’s Bazaar. I for one, could not only care LESS about any of this, but it succeeded in reinforcing my already negative opinion of this publicity crazy, egotistic, materialistic, self involved, and over the top wife of Russell Simmons who not only fails in her attempts to design (in my opinion), but who also tends to show a bit too much of herself in public (a recent shot of her at some gala had her looking no better than a common- though expensively dressed- street walker). Ugh!

According to the article, in addition to her 49,000 square foot mansion in Saddle River, N.J. complete with 15 bedrooms, 20 bathrooms, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a 15 seat screening room, she has an “eye popping assortment of jewelry” (including a 25 carat Asscher-cut diamond that “looks like you’re wearing a light bulb on your finger”), owns two Bentleys, a Mercedes SUV, a Range Rover, and is “eyeing a new Ferrari”, has “the world’s biggest collection of Louis Vuitton bags and so many clothes- including 300 pairs of jeans and piles of Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo and Chanel shoes- that she’s having every item in her closet catalogued on computer”. She also has five maids, four assistants, two live-in nannies, a chef and two drivers, and her trainer, hairstylist, and makeup artists are on call. How’s that for some sobering information? I guess you can say that she almost single handedly keeps the fashion and beauty industry in business.
