New York Fashion Cool-Aid: A Poem

“T’was the Week Before NYFW…”

T’was the week before New York Fashion, when all through the land,
Crazy sh*t was imploding and hitting the fan.

Fashion week ain’t what it was,
Sans the luster, fun and buzz

Stars of social media and street style rogues,
Taking over front rows from editors of Vogue

Clare Waight Keller bid adieu Chloe, Ralph Lauren split with Stefan Larsson,
Au revoir Givenchy by one who’s known as Kanye’s favorite garçon.

Sneaky Yeezy Season 5 grabbed a last minute NYFW slot,
CFDA and Marchesa react with a whole lotta NOT!

Daniella Vitale is Barneys new CEO,
Mark Lee’s now exec chairman, just so you know.

Dear Ms. Versace, real or fake news re: Riccardo Tisci?
Is he heading chez vous, or is that just plain fishy?

Raf Simons at Calvin — the new logo gives us retro vibes,
The upcoming runway — best test of how it all jibes.

Beyonce is with twins as Instagram shows,
Her fans all agog, tingling from their fingers to their toes.

Blue Ivy is scowling, her fortune soon to be divided thrice.
Along with those who bought Coachella tix at Bey’s headlining price.

On Tuesday, Tamron Hall departed the 9 a.m at “Today,”
Making room for former Fox rival Megyn Kelly, who must be obeyed.

Sunday brings the Super Bowl, Oscars in just three more,
Each guaranteed to serve up political venting from Hollywood whores.

Life is a bitch in those Hollywood hills,
Before you speak out please take one of your pills.

Main stream media weary desperately trying to keep up with the flurry of exec orders,
All while President Trump is working hard to defend our Southern borders.

Yes, Nordstrom is dropping Ivanka’s line,
Those who’ve called for a boycott, see it as a good sign.

The riots and marches, will it continue this way?
Try supporting not resisting, suggests “A-lister” Matthew McConaughey!
