Last night a cocktail party and exhibition previewing art to be auctioned at Artwork NY 2003 on October 25 to benefit the Coalition for the Homeless was held at the Giorgio Armani boutique at Bergdorf Goodman. Several hundred invited guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a DJ all in a good cause to help raise money and awareness for the record 39,000 homeless people now living in our city.
A number of good friends of lookonline.com were at the party including the ever dandy Patrick McDonald (see photo above). Host for the evening and the Event Chair for the upcoming ArtwalkNY main event newsman Peter Jennings made a brief presentation about the increasing need for more support to help our city’s homeless people.
The October 25th event will be an all day affair made up of four main events. First a 12noon-1:30PM there will be an interview with Peter Jennings and the artist honoree Yoko Ono. From 2PM-5PM walking tours of 4 well known artists’ studios; then at 6:30PM dinner & live auction; and finally from 8PM a party and silent auction.
