When Postmates delivers Distinctive Assets’ legendary gift bag to the doorsteps of the top Oscar nominees this week, it may look like the usual collection of fabulous gifts, but this year, Lash Fary and his L.A. based marketing team set out to feature companies that make a difference. “We made a very specific effort to say we want everything that we’re including this year to be a brand that embraces diversity, inclusion, health, and philanthropy,” says Fary, “It was really heartwarming and uplifting to realize that so many of the brands that we’ve been working with for years – like household name Postmates – are already doing amazing things for local communities and the world at large.”
For nearly twenty years, Distinctive Assets has produced The “Everyone Wins” Nominee Gift Bag to be distributed to Oscar nominees in the categories of Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Director. This year that list includes Anthony Hopkins, Olivia Colman, Amanda Seyfried, Sacha Baron Cohen, Riz Ahmed, Viola Davis, Andra Day, Carey Mulligan, and more. These celebrities will be treated to a selection of gifts that range from delectable, chocolate-covered biscuits to a three-night stay at a boutique hotel on a tiny Swedish Island.
“One of my favorite parts about putting together our “Everyone Wins” Nominee Gift Bag…is that I get to share some of my favorite products and services,” says Fary. Here are some of the more than 50 items that comprise this year’s collection of ultimate celebrity swag:
The 152-year-old Pater Noster Lighthouse sits on the island of Hamneskar on the Swedish west coast. The lighthouse master’s residence has been carefully restored and turned into a nine-room boutique hotel. Nominees will receive an all-inclusive three-night vacation to experience the island’s “low-key luxury with a dash of roughness.”
The Postmates “Don’t Cookbook “ is a limited edition coffee table book that requires no cooking at all. According to Fary, “ What’s cool is that as you’re flipping through it, if you see a dish that inspires you, you simply scan the QR code and Postmates will conveniently deliver that item from a local restaurant right to your front door.” A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each book will be donated to a charity that benefits restaurant workers affected by the pandemic.
This tote bag and T-shirt is a collaboration between Bonfire and Defy: Disaster. “What’s amazing is that 100% of the proceeds from the sale of these two items go to various disaster relief efforts,” says Fary.

Fary is obsessed with Miage skincare and this Asian-owned brand is one of his favorites. “I cannot say enough great things about Miage,” he says. “This is a transformative skincare line that uses human stem cell science to make your skin look its absolute best.”
Cozy Earth makes bedding and loungewear from sustainably sourced silk and bamboo. Their high quality, temperature – regulating fabrics are incredibly soft and comfortable. That is why Fary says, “They are one of Oprah’s favorite products, as well as mine.”
Trust Me Vodka promotes creativity by showcasing the work of various artists on their bottles. A limited series collector’s box features artwork by Evgeniya Golik. The box contains 2 bottles of Trust Me Vodka, specially crafted with 23 karat edible gold flakes.
