CFDA Partners with NYC to Help Local Fashion Industry
Interesting article in today’s the New York Times about how the CFDA is working with the city to get affordable space for fashion manufacturing in city owned Brooklyn Army Terminal. On the surface, it sounds like a good idea. However with all these firms getting grants and investing in high tech software, 3D printers and modernize machines that can cut, sew and embroider all at the same time without the touch of any human hands, it seems to me it will throw more and more garment workers out of work?
Well, I guess the argument can be made better a few jobs than no jobs at all. Anybody see a problem with where all this is going?
