Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Gilbert Baker was an American artist and gay rights activist. He taught himself to sew after his honorable discharge from the military and designed the rainbow flag after meeting Harvey Milk in San Francisco in 1978. It would come to symbolize gay pride and LGBT rights. The Rainbow Flag was even added to the Museum of Modern Art’s permanent collection in 2015. With news of his passing at the age of 65 on March 31st, I wanted to honor his memory and support the cause, by showing some of my favorite rainbow striped designs. Unsurprisingly, there are some great ones available, priced from $14.99 – $2500.
