The Southampton Hospital held its 58th annual gala this past Saturday August 6th at 6:30 PM at the corner of Wickapogue and Old Town Road in Southampton. The event’s decor and dinner were provided by Laurence Scott Events with music by Groove Society.

Southampton Hospital is recognized by the NYS Department of Health as a provisional Level 3 adult trauma center, the first one on Long Island’s East End, providing care to the most critically injured patients during the busy summer season and treating more than 25,000 people annually.

The more than 600 event attendees included: billionaires John Paulson, and Howard Lorber as well as Fox News anchor Bill Hemmer philanthropist Jean Shafiroff and socialite Somers Farkas.

The evening was joyful and low key with guests in casual attire dancing and enjoying the delicious buffet. Chuck Scarborough emceed the event and thanked all the participants for attending as he and his wife Ellen patiently posed for pictures.

The night’s live auction contained tickets to Broadway shows “Hamilton” and “Waitress and Cats.” The evening raised more than $1.3 million for the Jenny and John Paulson Emergency Department at the Hospital and before the guests left we were treated to a bag full of various books, perfumes and lotions as well as a delicious ice cream cone fresh from a nearby truck.
