What I like most about summers in Manhattan are all the rulers of the universe, wanker bankers, aspiring Russian fashion models, real estate titans, annoying ankle biters, second rate publicists, third rate hipsters, social climbing wannabes, and the rest of the 1 percent of 1 percent leave and give the rest of us poor souls a respite – the city becomes a much more polite and civilized place to live.
