Expert Panel is Presented at the Municipal Art Society’s Summit for New York City
On Friday, October 22, the Municipal Art Society of New York (MAS), in collaboration with the Design Trust for Public Space, will host a panel discussion to explore New York City’s Garment District and the importance of preserving this vital hub for entrepreneurship, creativity and commerce. The panel is presented as part of the MAS Summit for New York City, a two-day conference devoted to New York’s livability.
The Garment District breakout session, held at 11:15 a.m. at the Penn Plaza Pavilion, will also highlight lessons learned from international centers of fashion in both European and Asian cities.
Kitty Hawks, Kitty Hawks Interior Design, will deliver the opening remarks. The moderator is Yeohlee Teng, Designer, Yeohlee, Inc. Panelists include: Madelyn Wils, Executive Vice President, NYC Economic Development Corp.; Jerome Chou, Director of Programs, Design Trust; Andrew Rosen, Founder, Theory; and Joe Ferrara, CEO, Ferrara Manufacturing Company.
