One of my favorite shops and one that always lives up to its name is Eye Candy, located at 329 Lafayette Street 10012 (212 343-4275). I paid a visit over the weekend, and it literally cried out,‘Spring Has Sprung’. From the jam filled windows complete with oversized ‘flowers’ to the eclectic offerings inside which includes mod 60’s costume jewelry and tiaras, shoes (check out the clear plastic ‘Cinderella’ pumps), hats (for men and women), handbags (like the quirky butterfly emblazoned white wicker version), and flower printed clothing (I especially liked the 60’s floral sundress). And in a season where gloves mark the return to 50’s elegance, they always have some of the best around. It must also be noted that their prices are very very reasonable!
